Charlotte Arvelle

          Charlotte Arvelle is an independent studio glass artist who works full-time in her Mount Carroll, Illinois studio. With over thirty years of glass experience she creates kiln fired glass art. All of her works are handcrafted original and are noted for the quality of their material, color, and composition. Her pieces range from large sculptures, wall pieces, and lighting down to smaller ornaments and suncatchers. Award-winning, her work has been shown publicly throughout The United States at art shows and galleries and has been collected privately around the world. In 2013, Charlotte’s work, Five on Fire, was selected to be used as the American Craft Week’s Fifth Anniversary Logo.
          “Working with glass is a journey to merge reality, spirit, and passion together in my creative expression. I strive to transform it into art with the images that I see in my mind’s eye. Taking common substance, in my case glass, and transforming it into works of art, I hope to appeal to modern imaginations. Using mankind’s themes and symbols which have evoked our emotions throughout the ages, I envision myself under the guidance of those masters of my craft who have gone before me and who watch over me like stars twinkling in the sky.”
